Marketing is a very important aspect of a business.  How we communicate the value of the products and services that we offer can play a huge difference in the growth of our business.

With the availability of better resources to market our products in this digital age, we are placed in a more intense level of competition.  Traditional marketing strategies are becoming more and more obsolete as time passes.

To adapt to this new and fast-developing age, we need to upgrade our strategies.  And to do so, we’ve come up with 8 strategies to effectively market your business in this current time.

1.Be active in social media

We are now living in a world where the majority of people are engaged in social media.  If you don’t have a presence in it, then consider yourself way behind the competition.  At the moment, this may be the best way for you to communicate or engage with your customers.  With social media, you can reach a wider range of markets.

2. Create video contents on youtube

Youtube is the 2nd most visited website in the world.  With over a billion users, using the right strategies, you’ll be able to get a fair share of viewers who’ll get a hold of your video content.  Take note also that videos are very visual and can be easily consumed by people.  It is one of the best ways to market and communicate your message.  Create something that would engage your viewers and something that would stick to their thoughts and leave a lasting impression.

3. Target the right audience

Most small businesses have small financial resources for marketing.  This being said, be wise by choosing to create campaigns that cater to your target audience.  This way, you don’t waste your time and budget.

Facebook ads are a great way for you to achieve this.  Not only is ineffective and inexpensive but it allows you to filter to certain a demographic that you want to focus on.

For a more visual audience, Instagram would be the better fit for you, as they are more focused on the visual side of social media.

4. Google AdWords

Getting people to find you can be tough sometimes.  One of the best ways to address those problems is through google AdWordsGoogle.  They are the number 1 search engine for a reason.  If you’re looking for visibility, this is your best choice.

5. Collaborate with other businesses

Creating a partnership with other companies or businesses has its advantages.  It can be mutually beneficial if you are non-competing but are somehow involved in an industry where both share some presence.  An example of this is offering your beverage products free to car dealership customers.  It’s effective because gives them a recall of your product.  So, next time they go to a grocery, they may pick up one of your products instead of the many others on the shelf.

6. Apply for membership with business organizations

Connections are very important in business.  No man is an island, as they.  You also need other people or other organizations to help you grow.  Oftentimes, we get new business opportunities in organizations like these that would help you elevate.

7. After-sales customer service

Apart from having a good product, establishing a strong and loyal base of customers will help you at times when things get challenging.  Loyal customers often don’t mind the price when they are well taken care of.  New competitors will always arise, which is why it is important to build a strong customer base who won’t be easily persuaded with reduced prices that others might offer.

8. Be ahead, be creative!

If you want to stay ahead of your competition, always be creative.  Finds means that others haven’t done yet by searching for places where your competition hasn’t marketed their products yet.
